Shannon and Erin (from work) just moved into a new apartment in Uptown, right by Lake of the isles, so I stopped by to see it. It is so cute, and it comes complete with a statue of Jesus in the backyard. I'm not kidding, but I wish I was. It was awesome! It's right behind the Green Mill off Hennepin, so it's prime real estate.
Anyway, E and I went to the MOA, to find me a dress for the reception I have to go to next weekend. First stop, the Gap. I usually have some luck with the gap dresses, so I was optimistic, and the day was early. I grabbed 4 and lucky #1 was all I needed. I tried it on and it was perfect. A strapless green and blue stripped pattern. I fell in love. As I walked out of the dressing room to hand back the others the sales associate asked me what size I was. My immediate thought was that I should have gone for a bigger size- who asks that? She told me that there was a teal corduroy jacket that would go with the dress. Erin and I instantly assume that she's trying to get me to buy more. The dress was on clearance, is she trying to make a sale? Here comes the kicker, she tells me the jacket is on clearance too, $10. That's my kinda price and definitely worth a look. There is only one jacket on the rack and it fits! And looks adorable with the dress! So exciting to walk into 1 store in the largest mall in the United States and find the perfect outfit. And Janna bought me shoes that match perfectly for my birthday last year. It can't get better. Adorable outfit for $40, score. It definitely makes the rest of the shopping trip no pressure. This stuff never happens to me- I never find EXACTLY what I'm looking for and on clearance! I'm still on a high from it all. The only problem is that Adam got a tie in the same colors. It's always fun to match...
