Run Lola Run

No, this is not in response to my last post, or to my new hair color, it's going to be my solo Halloween costume. I have always wanted to dye my hair red, like the crayon color, ala Lola in the aforementioned film. Due to some mishaps with my hair dying earlier this week, I am now sporting a "natural" red color. It is a bit too orange to be Lola, but it will give me an excuse to have the red hair I've always wanted- even if it's only for a couple of days. Very exciting. Halloween is not just about finding the "sluttiest" costume around, it's also about changing my hair color.

On that note, I had dinner with some friends from high school this week. One made a comment that "I never care about my hair", meaning that I am normally cool with how I look. I almost wanted to laugh out loud since I had been fretting about my hair for about 2 days and how bright it was. I think it is weird how others perceive you and it's totally different from how you see yourself. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not, either way it fascintates me.

Now onto the running. I think anyone can run if they want to, but it's easier for some to get started then for others. That is my conclusion. I think I will be a short distance runner. It would be cool (or scary) to run a marathon, but I think I am going to focus my efforts on a triathalon. A short one, 5K running, 12 miles biking, .5 mile swim. If I have a goal to strive for, I think I can do it. My next 5K is in 2 weeks- and there is trick or treating involved! Candy and running, what can be better?
