Coast to Coast

Last Sunday was spent at a going away party for a friend who moved to Alaska on Tuesday. Yesterday was spent at a going away party for my sister and her boyfriend who are moving to New York at the end of the week. It hasn't sunk in that my sister is leaving in only a few short days. I'm excited for her to move as I know she's been thinking about it for several years, but it is hard for me to see her go. Granted, I don't see her as much as I would like, but it is still going to be hard. I am looking forward to going out to visit her. I haven't been to NY much, so it will be fun to make excuses to go. Now, I just need to find the vacation time....

I keep signing up for training on Nike plus. I have signed up for 3-1/2 marathon sessions, yet haven't really gotten started on any of them. I just realized that I still have time to train for the Monster Dash 1/2 marathon at the end of October, so I'm going to give it one more try. My biggest struggle is consistency. I'm still debating on weather or not to sign up for the Nike Womens virtual 1/2 marathon... I have a problem with impulsively signing up for races and not being in healthy enough condition to complete them. This time I am going to try to wait to sign up and make sure I actually put some training time in. It's a novel concept I know. I do need to sign up for the breathe of hope in September- it's a 5K and for a good cause.

My goal tomorrow is 4 miles... pre-work. Considering it is nearing midnight and I am still invested in the men's gymnastics finals, we'll see how that goes. Let's just say I tend to be a bit overzealous at times. But the men just won the bronze medal, so that's pretty cool.
