Last winter, I wrote a post about how I was not a fan of $4 beer (I'm pretty sure my point was that coffee costs the same as beer these days). Tonight I drank a $6 beer that I bought from a store. I take back any previous comments I have made about over priced alcohol- if it's good, I will pay for it. First off, Adam and I went to the store that had the beer separated by country of origin. It was beer heaven. And you can make your own six pack- or buy them in singles!! I stared at the endless beer fridges for a while trying to read the different languages when I stumbled upon Belgium. Oh Belgium, I have missed your beer. In an attempt to recreate my Belgium experience from 3+ years ago I bought a Cherry Beer. It was so good. I can't wait to go back to that liquor store-Blue Max. Adam was doing some research in attempt to find good light beer and found this place. I put together my own 6 pack. I picked out a beer with caffeine, we'll see if it's any good. I'm not even sure what I got, but I was certainly judging by the labels.
I am not sure if I have written about this before, but I have certainly thought about it. I am a One Tree Hill Fan, yes I'll admit it. This whole season they have had an integrated promotion with Sunkist orange soda. I can't get over how good of a fit it is. Yes, it's full of shameless Sunkist promotions, but it works! I'm pretty sure the target of the show is high school age kids and when I was that age all I drank was Sunkist. I remember getting in vicious Sunkist vs. Slice debates. I know I am not really giving this promotion the proper write up it deserves, but I'm impressed by it.
I brought home some free magazines from work today. Adam didn't care about anything that I had except the Comedy Central calendar that features a different Comedy Central show each month along with what the rating points are... The only thing he wants is a blatant promotional item. I love at. Adam has no idea that all of his gifts are going to be promotional items from this point forward.
