A missed interpretation

Me attempting to order at the LeAnn Chin counter:

"I'll have an imperial plate, please" [Imperial being 1/2 entree, 1/2 appetizer, and rice] - Me

"What kind of rice" -shift manager

"Fried, please" -H
"What entree" -SM
"Sesame Chicken"- H

She proceeds to fill the plate not leaving room for the appetizer portion of the meal I've ordered. Despite the fact that I have ordered the 1/2 entree intentionally, I'm still a little excited to get more food. (It's the American way after all).

"Would you like egg rolls, cream cheese wontons, or pot stickers?"
"Egg rolls"
"One or two?"
"One"
She puts two in the container.
"Anything else?"
"Um, no"[I refrain from correction thinking two might constitute one order, and I'm still somewhat happy to get more food]

I was still confused as to what was happening as approached the checkout. Somehow the total is $10 and change. Hmmm, $5.79 is what I ordered, but somehow get $10 worth of half-assed Chinese food that I only get because its by my bus stop. I pay and look at my receipt as I leave.

Full entree (not the 1/2)
Full Appetizer (not the 1/2)
Extra charge for fried rice (the only expense I was anticipating)

I have managed to eat every last piece of food, why? Because I paid for it!
