How long will this blogging phenom last? Is it the opposite of a gym membership, frequent posts in winter but scarily scarce in spring and summer? Does it depend on schedules and ultimately how much time do you have to put toward contributing and maintaining a blog? All of these questions cause me to wonder what the hell I'm doing with this blog and how I even came to have a blog in the first place.
My first encounter was in London discovering that Erin was keeping an online journal for her friends and family to read while she was abroad. This caused a rash of fellow Simmies to create blogs or websites (or divulge that they had one) and a website to tell us what all the blogs/sites were. For us, 2003 was the year of the blog. Many of the blogs that started have been recreated and emerged under a new heading or simply just faded away to nothing. I was able to locate this gem of a photo, of one of our many Irish car bomb experiences. Ahh, the memories.
I started this blog to keep friends current on what was happening in my life. Mainly, I used it to rant about school, work, life's general frustrations. I've blended some work notes in, but it is coming to a point where I need to separate my blogs. My New Year's Blogging Resolution is to start a new blog, We'll see what happens and if it is physically possible for me to add another blog, or just anything, to my life, but I'm going to at least try. After all, everyone else I know started a blog in January 2008.
