"We are more visible than ever before, so we need to be mindful that we are on display. Not just for our intended audience but for anyone who has the desire to look for us."
I just grabbed this quote off one of the comments from this article about blurred work and personal lives. http://www.drewsmarketingminute.com/2008/02/are-the-walls-b.html
It makes sense that work and personal lives blend. You interact with the people that you have things in common with, for many of us, that includes co-workers. I'm curious if this is occurring in all industries, or is it more prevalent in advertising since a lot of people happen to be in similar life stages? When I worked at a mortgage company, the majority of my co-workers were married with children and couldn't partake in spontaneous happy hours. Every event needed planning, now a 4:45 email about drink specials starting at 5 is common place.
Is it good to mix business with pleasure? Or is business pleasure?
