I don't have any children, but if I did, I would be excited for them to listen to the President... Republican or Democrat.
Why is Obama giving a speech to school aged children such an issue?
Parental consent is needed in some schools in order for kids to hear some encouraging words from the person who runs this country. The person we elected?
If the majority of the adults in this country vote for someone to represent them, why is there such an issue about him then talking to the children of this country. They are our future. Let them see what happens when you work hard and get an education.
We allow advertising to enter our children's schools (via channel one), or at least we used to... but now we're blocking the President.
I just don't get it. I watched the OJ Simpson verdict from my 7th grade home economics class. What did that teach me? If you're rich enough you can get away with murder. Perhaps a message about hard work would have been better.
