My latest goal to kick start my workout routine is to become foursquare mayor of my gym. I don't know if it is possible, but I'm going to give it a shot. I'm not a hugely competitive person, but I do like a friendly competition and today as I checked in at the gym, this was my latest idea. I'm mostly just getting a tad bit nervous about my 10 mile race that I signed up for that is in 3 weeks. I never really think of these as races, as just scheduled runs, so for me, it's all about finishing them and having a good time. I'm starting to get nervous that this will not be fun at all since I haven't been running consistently or building up miles. I slowly ran/walked my way to 4 miles this morning, so hopefully I'll be able to just keep moving forward.
I just need to keep reminding myself that I liked this distance when I was marathon training and that in a couple weeks, I will like it again.
Side note, its super easy to run when you're watching Saved By The Bell: Hawaiian Style.

I got excited when you started talking about four square but then realized you weren't talking about the elementry recess game. Shucks. I mean playing four sq is fun but running ten miles, not as fun. Well, goodluck on the run. P.s. we usually have an annual four sq game & bbq, I'll let you know when that happens if you're interested.
