This week was a weird week. Normally I'm pretty much chained to my desk at work and rarely leave. That's nice because I usually get a lot of work done, but the past two weeks I've been running around so much it feels like I'm never at my desk. This week, 9 of us from my department went and volunteered at the Ronald McDonald house on the U of M campus. It was really nice to get out of the office for a couple of hours and throw a party with the kids there. I think most of us were stressed out about the work we were leaving behind, but once we got there and got to hang out with the kids, I knew work could wait.
On Thursday, a friend from work and I went to St. Thomas to talk to their ad club. It was great getting to see how excited students are about advertising. Again, it was one of those things I didn't really have time for, but I'm really glad I made the time for it.
It's nice to sometimes just stop and pay it forward.
